The Valencian Community Leads the Rise in Foreign Tourism in Spain During February

The Valencian Community closed February with the highest year-on-year growth in foreign tourism. During the second period of 2025, the region registered a 15% increase in visitors compared to the same month in 2024, reaching 670,770 tourists.

Additionally, foreign visitors spent 887 million euros, an increase of 11.2%, according to data released this Wednesday by the National Statistics Institute (INE) regarding Tourist Movements at the Border (Frontur) and the Tourist Expenditure Survey (Egatur).

Referring to the cumulative total for 2025, international tourists visiting the Valencian Community during the first two months of the year amounted to 1,270,917, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year; they spent a total of 1,626 million euros, representing a growth of 4.9%.

The Regional Minister of Tourism, Marián Cano, positively assessed the data, stating that it "confirms the relevance and positioning of the Valencian Community as a tourist destination," and emphasized that "we will continue working on international promotion, both in established markets and emerging ones."

In fact, Marián Cano has announced that "in 2025, Turisme CV has especially reinforced the budget allocated to tourism promotion and advertising, which will allow greater visibility of the Valencian offer in foreign markets." In this regard, she pointed out that "the budget for fairs and other promotional actions has increased by nearly 50%, with a greater presence at major international fairs."

Turisme also has an ambitious portfolio of international promotions planned for fairs in Poland, one of the most important emerging markets for tourism in the Valencian Community and the Costa Blanca.
