As the year draws to a close, all eyes will be on the chimes. David Broncano and Lalachus, stars of 'La Revuelta', will debut at Puerta del Sol to bid farewell to 2024 on TVE, while Cristina Pedroche and Alberto Chicote will do so for the ninth consecutive year on Antena 3, where they have become the leading New Year's Eve duo. Beforehand, José Mota returns with his traditional special on La 1, and the captions of 'Cachitos' will enliven the early hours on La 2.

    The 'Chime' of Broncano and Lalachus

An artificial intelligence created by the European Union sidelines Spanish politicians and forces them to become comedians. As a result, they take charge of the New Year's Eve special, leaving José Mota unemployed. This is how '2024: Operation AI AI oh' begins, the title of the traditional program with which the Manchego comedian bids farewell to the year on La 1 (21:50 hours), featuring Santiago Segura and Florentino Fernández, among others. Before the twelve grapes, the 'Happy 2025!' gala will kick off, presented by Eva Soriano and Oriol Nolis, featuring over 90 artists in a program that will last all night. Performers include Abraham Mateo, Amaral, Rozalén, Rigoberta Bandini, Varry Brava, Gloria Trevi, Manuel Carrasco, David Bustamante, and Miss Caffeina.

Just before midnight, the highlight of New Year's Eve: the chimes. For this occasion, the public broadcaster relies on the 'La Revuelta' team. David Broncano and Lalachus will lead a broadcast promising humour, spontaneity, and surprises. An hour later, for the third consecutive year, Roberto Herrera and singer Nia will take the grapes from Arucas (Gran Canaria). Journalist Carlos del Amor will also direct the annual review of 2024 on the 'Telediarios', featuring Pedro Almodóvar.

    A Journey to the 90s

On New Year's Eve, from 22:30 hours, La 2 offers 'Cachitos Love The 90s', a special presented by Ángel Carmona, Ana Morgade, and Fernandisco, which, as a novelty, joins the Love the 90's festival to bring the best hits of the decade to television. It will be a one-hour program with live performances from the most iconic 90s groups - Daisy Dee from Technotronic, Haddaway, Whigfield, Amistades Peligrosas, La Guardia, Seguridad Social, Jenny from Ace of Base, OBK, Paco Pil - and Miguel Costas from Siniestro Total, who will perform 'Bailaré sobre tu tumba' with Ángel Carmona. After the chimes, more 'Cachitos', with three hours of RTVE archive featuring the most iconic musical performances accompanied by a myriad of captions to start 2025.

    Pedroche Debuts Balcony

The highlight of Antena 3's New Year's Eve will be the chimes. Cristina Pedroche and Alberto Chicote will once again take the grapes with viewers for the ninth consecutive year. This time, as a novelty, the network will change its location and place the presenters on one of the terraces of Puerta del Sol. Antena 3 led last year's broadcast with a 34.4% share and over 5.6 million viewers. Previously, in prime time, Eva González and Roberto Leal will host the special 'Goodbye, 2024', recorded at Casa Pilatos (Seville), reviewing the most notable moments on Atresmedia channels. Additionally, after the chimes, the traditional karaoke 'Singing to 2025'. And in the afternoon, an edition of 'The Wheel of Fortune' with three contestants whose lives will change next year.

    Love on the Last Night of 2024

In the afternoon, 'Everything is a Lie' will end the year with a special full of humour and predictions for 2025. Broadcaster Martín Escolar will debunk the most common myths about Christmas and New Year, and Risto Mejide and Marta Flich, accompanied by four comedians, will put the final touch on this year's review. In prime time (21:15 hours), the program 'First Dates' will transform into a cabaret in the pure 'Moulin Rouge' style to welcome singles in search of love in an idyllic setting. Carlos Sobera will open the evening with a toast and a special dedication to viewers, in a night enlivened by performances from Nebulossa and Nyno Vargas.

    New Year's Eve in Lanzarote

From 17:30 hours, 'TardeAR' offers a special edition to review the year's highlights, accompanied by a musical performance by Manu Tenorio. Additionally, the program's collaborators will enjoy a unique New Year's Eve menu. After the evening news, the network will broadcast the 'New Year's Eve with You' gala presented by Christian Gálvez and Verónica Dulanto, featuring Andy and Lucas, Efecto Pasillo, Azúcar Moreno, María Escarmiento, and Veintiuno among the guests. At midnight, Ion Aramendi and Blanca Romero will take the grapes in simulcast on Mediaset channels from the Castillo de San José in Lanzarote. An hour later (1:00 hours), Ángeles Blanco and Ricardo Reyes will chime in for the Canary Islands viewers, also from the island.

    Pardo and Mateo Take the Grapes

Cristina Pardo and Dani Mateo once again lead La Sexta's chimes to bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025. The host of 'Better Late' repeats, for the eighth consecutive year, as the presenter of the year's final program, and for Dani Mateo, from 'Zapeando' and collaborator of 'The Intermediate', it will be his fourth time at Puerta del Sol. In prime time, the best monologues in 'The Comedy Club' and the rerun of 'The Joke Club' special aired the previous day on Neox. After the grapes, the film 'Basic Instinct 2'.

    Jokes with Leo Harlem

To bid farewell to 2024, Movistar Plus+ offers 'Happy Year Leo', a program where the Leonese comedian Leo Harlem will welcome the new year with plenty of humour and jokes. The special was recorded at the iconic Florida Park venue.
