Renault unveils the new electric Twingo at the Paris Motor Show

In 1992, Renault revolutionized the automotive world with Twingo. A brightly colored car that has made everyday life more enjoyable by perfectly embodying Renault's "cars full of life".

Reproducing the spirit of this first generation, today's Twingo E-Tech 100% electric Prototype is designed as a 100% electric urban car, intended for uncompromising urban use.

Developed by Ampere with the aim of offering an entry price below €20,000, it confirms Renault's ambition to make electric mobility accessible to as many people as possible, along with other models in its electric range: Renault 5 E-Tech electric, Renault 4 E-Tech electric, Megane E-Tech electric and Scenic E-electric.

Original and ingenious, Twingo E-Tech 100% electric Prototype responds to the challenges of our time and creates the unexpected while capturing the spirit of the original Twingo with its minimalist single-volume silhouette, mischievous lights, agility, and captivating side.

With its compact size, Twingo E-Tech 100% electric Prototype aims to be agile in the city and practical in use with its 5 doors. Its minivan silhouette topped by a fixed glass roof ensures its occupants a generous and bright interior, in line with the philosophy of "cars full of life".

The modernity of its proportions and the perfectly fluid treatment of the body surfaces are combined with a series of details inspired by the first Twingo, which reinforce its character, combining charm and technology.

Continuing a story that began more than 30 years ago, the show car Twingo E-Tech 100% electric Prototype foreshadows the future production vehicle of the fourth generation Twingo, which will be marketed in 2026.
