The new season of MasterChef is simmering slowly, with the goal of reaching televisions in Spanish homes this autumn. Sixteen anonymous contestants will participate, visiting Alicante in one of the episodes.

The production team of the MasterChef programme will arrive in Alicante next week to film one of the new season's episodes over two days. This isn't their first visit; in 2017, they set up their kitchens and stoves in 'la terreta'.

Eight years later, MasterChef returns to Alicante to showcase its charms to all of Spain through RTVE's cameras. The show will also feature a new battle among contestants, who will prepare various dishes to reach the final.

According to TodoAlicante, the 25th of May Square, behind Alicante's Central Market, will host the presentation of the MasterChef programme next Tuesday, March 25th. The following day, Wednesday 26th, the cameras will be set up at the port to film the episode.

Little is known about the participants yet. However, it is clear that this new season of MasterChef will feature the popular jury members Jordi Cruz, Samantha Vallejo-Nájera, and Pepe Rodríguez.

The last time MasterChef visited Alicante was in 2017, with views of the city's port and the Santa Bárbara Castle from the terrace of Monastrell by María José San Román. In addition to filming inside the establishment, which then boasted a Michelin star, MasterChef held an outdoor challenge at the Muelle 12 area of the port.

Regarding this new season of MasterChef, the 13th, RTVE has already offered a brief preview of what viewers can expect. "The competition returns, stronger than ever," were the initial intentions of the public broadcaster to generate excitement about the contest.
