Four years after its successful debut, Macbor's flagship model, the Montana XR5, which remains a benchmark in the mid-displacement Trail segment, now arrives in a revamped version featuring an updated design, a more powerful engine, and a new TFT dashboard with connectivity. This trail bike for the A2 license, thanks to its unbeatable versatility and excellent price-quality-performance ratio, reaffirms itself once again as a leader in its category.

Primarily due to the excellent combination of its enviable lightness (only 178 kg dry weight), the maximum power allowed for this type of license (47 HP), and top-level standard Adventure equipment. Additionally, it is a true "all-terrain" bike that is fun and efficient in any environment: from dirt tracks to highways, including urban routes and winding roads as demonstrated on various occasions. Not to mention its good price: 6,199 euros.

In terms of design, the Montana XR5 510 boasts a new decoration with an even sportier look that gives it a renewed and powerful appeal; it also includes two seat options, Standard (841 mm) and Low Seat (820 mm), making it accessible to all types of riders.

Under the chassis lies a new engine with better performance: its power unit remains a DOHC twin-cylinder engine with 8 valves, liquid cooling, and BOSCH electronic injection, now presenting a larger displacement increasing from 471 to 498 cc and delivering a maximum power of 47 HP at 8,500 rpm, also improving its torque from 43 Nm to 45 Nm.

Perhaps the most striking feature currently is the 5-inch color TFT screen with mirroring connectivity. This modern display offers clear visibility in all conditions and allows routes to be projected directly from the mobile phone thanks to connectivity with the Carbit Ride app. It also includes two interface customization modes and day and night modes, providing clear and easy viewing in all environmental conditions.

Furthermore, Macbor's flagship model retains the equipment and components that have made it a benchmark in its category. The XR5 510's suspensions by KYB ensure excellent handling on any terrain. The front inverted fork of 41 mm adjustable in extension, compression, and rebound has a travel of 196 mm; while the multi-adjustable rear monoshock offers a travel of 210 mm to ensure superior impact absorption and exceptional control even in the most demanding situations.

The "Rally" type wheels stand out with their anodized aluminum rims by AKRONT, aluminum hubs, crossed stainless steel spokes, and METZELER Tourance tubeless tires. These features ensure excellent maneuverability, grip, and traction on both asphalt and off-road terrains.

Additionally, it features a premium braking system by NISSIN with dual floating wave discs of 298 mm in ultralight steel and dual-piston brake calipers on the front wheel, and a 240 mm disc with brake caliper on the rear. The switchable ABS system offers three modes to adapt to the rider's preferences: assistance on both wheels, front wheel only or fully disconnected.

And almost most importantly, safety. It includes crash protection bars, central stand, aluminum skid plate, handguards or an adjustable windscreen in two positions, plus two power outlets (12 V and USB). In fact, to further secure it, the handlebar, steering yokes, rims and hubs, swingarm, footpegs as well as the rear rack and side stand of the XR5 510 are made of aluminum. And not only that; also the frame - thanks to the use of special steel - is 15% lighter yet 40% stronger than conventional steel. The result is a total dry weight of 178 Kg making the XR5 510 the lightest bike in its category.
