Elche Remains Unstoppable, Secures Victory in Cádiz to Cement Leadership (0-1)

Elche shows no signs of slowing down. They have won again and are edging closer to the dream of promotion to the First Division. Eder Sarabia's team triumphed this Saturday at the Nuevo Mirandilla in Cádiz with a stunning second-half goal by Álvaro Núñez, placing them seven points ahead of the third place with only seven league matches remaining.

The Elche team endured several challenging moments during the match and even escaped a Cádiz goal in the first half when Chris Ramos hit the post in a one-on-one with Dituro.

Elche also had clear chances and saw a goal by Agustín Álvarez disallowed for offside.

The Elche goal came an hour into the match when Álvaro Núñez struck a shot into the top corner, leaving Cádiz's goalkeeper David Gil helpless.

Cádiz responded and managed to equalise the match five minutes later, although the goal was disallowed by VAR due to an offside by José de la Rosa.

Elche managed to maintain their lead and delivered another statement of intent. The team not only remains unbeatable at home, where they have accumulated 10 consecutive victories, but they have also won two consecutive away matches (Córdoba and Cádiz).

Elche will host Albacete next Sunday at 18:30 at the Martínez Valero, continuing their pursuit of promotion to the First Division.
