Angy Morad, Miss World 2017, Dies at 33 After Childbirth

Tragic death of the former Miss World 2017. Syrian actress and model Angy Morad has passed away at the age of 33 after giving birth to her second child, who also died during delivery. Her family announced the sad news, revealing that Angy Morad had an infection caused by pneumonia that she chose not to treat while pregnant.

Her mother, Annie Orfali, shared the news on social media, disclosing details of the tragic outcome. "My daughter only had inflammation and underwent tests in Lebanon, there was no virus, but she was afraid to take the medicine. This developed into a severe infection, and she neglected her health," the mother recounted.

Angy Morad was born in Damascus, Syria, in 1992 and, besides being a model, she appeared in several television series. She had another four-year-old daughter with her husband, Samer Hakky.

He also expressed in a statement the pain of losing his "wife, lover, cherished one, and life partner." "She has left me heartbroken after her departure and with an endless void," he added.

"I mourn my wife, my lover, my cherished one, and my life partner, who left me heartbroken after her departure and left me with an endless void," he said.
